Is BEAM Direct Health health insurance?
No. It is being developed as a direct health care membership and is not health insurance. It will not replace coverage for emergencies, hospitalization, specialist care, imaging, or other services outside the membership.
Is enrollment already open?
Not yet. This page is for the founding interest list. People on the list will receive the completed membership details before general enrollment opens.
Will lab work be included?
The planned membership includes clinically appropriate lab ordering and physician review. Charges from an outside laboratory may be separate. Final laboratory benefits will be clearly stated before enrollment.
Can every medical concern be handled by telemedicine?
No. Dr. Los will determine whether phone or video care is clinically appropriate. Some concerns require an in-person examination, urgent care, emergency care, testing, or a specialist.
Do I have to be uninsured?
No. The membership may also appeal to adults with high-deductible coverage or anyone who lacks an accessible, consistent primary physician relationship.
What happens in an emergency?
BEAM Direct Health will not be an emergency service. For a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
